The rate sheet

Five lines to read before the signature box

Every lender in our network has to show the cost up front. Here is where to look, and what each line is telling you.

APRThe yearly cost of the loan as a percentage. On short-term loans it can run past 200%, so compare it, don't skim it.
Finance chargeThe interest and fees in plain dollars. This is the number that tells you what borrowing really costs.
Total of paymentsWhat leaves your account by the end, principal included.
Due datesWhen each payment comes out. Line them up with your paydays.
Late and returned feesWhat happens if a payment bounces. Ask yourself if you could cover it.

Questions people ask us

Something missing? Write to info@couperate.com.

Does CoupeRate lend the money itself?

No. CoupeRate is not a lender. We take your request and pass it to lenders in our network. If one of them makes an offer, the loan, the rate and the contract are all theirs.

What will a lender put in front of me before I sign?

The APR, the finance charge in dollars, the total you would repay, each due date, and the fees for a late or returned payment. Read those lines first. If a number looks wrong, close the page and walk away.

Does sending the request touch my credit score?

Checking your options won't affect your credit score. A lender you choose to go further with may run its own credit check, and it explains that step in its own terms.

How much can I ask for?

Any amount from $100 to $5,000. The lender may come back with a smaller figure after it looks at your details.

When could the money reach my bank?

Some lenders deposit as soon as the next business day, if approved. Weekends and bank holidays push that back. The offer itself states the date.

Look under the hood first.

One request, anywhere in the $100 – $5,000 range. Read the numbers, then decide.
